How do I....

I am new to this blogging, so please bear with me.  I am running Access 2007.  I am trying to create a database to keep farm records.  Part of the database keeps weight tickets for grain.  I have a bound form to input the weights, moisture content, etc.into a weight ticket table, but need a way to look up the discount schedule for the buyer selected in a combo box on the form. I don't want to store any more data than necessary in the weight ticket table.  Instead I want to calculate it on the form.  The catch is how do I access the discount schedule to use each time I change buyers/weight tickets? The discounts vary with moisture, test weight, etc. and may be different for each buyer.  What is the best way to accomplish this task? I am looking for concepts, not someone to necessarily write the code for me.  I think I have every Access book written, but can't seem to get past this.  Thanks!
