Blog Comments
How do I create a new blog comment?
If a blog post or blog article has comments enabled, then you should see
the following form at the bottom of the post or article. To post your comment
just fill out the comment field and press the Submit button.
If the blog owner allows anonymous comment posting, and you are not signed in,
then you will need to fill out a couple of extra fields: the Name field
and the anti-spam captcha field - this prevents automated comment spam.
Why do I have to fill in a captcha when leaving my comment?
If you are not logged in to the Advenet network, you must fill in a captcha
field in order to comment on a post. This prevents automated spam bots from
posting comments. After you've created an account or logged in as an existing
user the captcha field will no longer be displayed.
Why isn't my comment displayed on the blog?
It means that the blog author chooses to moderate the comments before they are
displayed on the blog. Your comment will appear as soon as the blog owner approves it.
How do I allow anonymous (not registered) users to post comments on my blog?
To allow anonymous comments set the 'Allow Anonymous Users to Comment'
option to 'Yes' on the Advanced Post Settings page of
the Global Settings tab in the My Blogs section. (Control
Panel -> My Blogs -> Global Settings -> Advanced Post Settings ->
Allow Anonymous Users to Comment -> Yes). Do not forget to save
the changes by pressing the Save buttom at the bottom.
How can I review more than 10 rows of comments and other statistics at a time?
On the Site Options tab of your profile, find the "Items
per-page in Control Panel grids" drop-down box and choose the
value you would like to use: 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50. Do not forget to save
the changes by pressing the Save buttom at the bottom.
How do I delete, approve, or disapprove more than one comment at a time?
To perform these actions on multiple comments at a time, first, open the comment
review page, located at Control Panel -> My Blogs -> Common Tasks
-> Review Comments, then check the box next to the comments,
and select one of the actions "Publish Selected", "Unpublish
Selected", or "Delete Selected".
