I have learned so much in the last few weeks.  Especially in the Forms Programming area.  Access is a very powerful tool to those who take the time to learn the ins and outs and how everything relates.  I have also learned quite a bit about Dialog forms and how to create my own switchboard.  I am also staring to do some consulting work for a previous employer.  He was so impressed with me that he contacted me to do some automation work for his monthly closings in Accounting.  He wants to do much of it in Excel.  I am trying to convince him that for pure data manipulation Access would be a much better tool to use.  He isn't very conversant in Access so is shying away from it.  I understand where he is coming from, but would really like to convince him to go the Access route.  If anyone can help me write a convincing argument for using Access I would greatly appreciate the input.
