I have this cat who is now 12 years old.  She's been fixed for many a year now and has always been in basically good shape.  She has her quirks, such as she comes close to having a heart attack anytime she is put in a crate or box, and she despises being held.  She'll lounge with me and cuddle up next to me on the bed, and she loves to be scratched or petted.  She does have this annoying thing of wolfing down her food and then barfing it up in long rolled turd-looking globs.  I tried to help her by feeding her slowly, but I can't always do that.  We have two other cats, both younger than her and both spayed/neutered, that share the house under her rule.  One day, the male, Snoopy, got outside and was out the entire day before we realized he wasn't just hiding under a sofa.  Two days after he came in he developed red-rimmed eyes, was wheezing, and sneezing.  I gently washed his eyes out with saline which seemed to help.  Now, my poor Teenie is coughing, wheezing, and sneezing.  She looks so miserable, and she is not eating as much as usual.  I can't take her to the vet due to her fears of being outside the house.  All three of my cats are total indoor babies.  I have perused posts by others who have cats with colds, and frankly, this isn't allergies in my cats.  Snoopy is doing better.  I am just worried about Teenie because she is so old and fragile.  She never put on weight after she was spayed like most others do, and her bones can be felt easily, even though she is not emaciated at all.  I just wondered if anyone has advice on what I can give her to help her along.  Vitamin C works for me, but I am not so sure she'd be able to handle that.  Anyhow, throw me some feedback on this.
